Sri Lanka Frogmouth (Batrachostomus moniliger) a favorite from the walk on the Kudawa side. In spite of its name it is not technically endemic! The same species is found in similar habitats in the Western Ghats from Kerala up to Goa. Nevertheless a frogmouth never disappoints a naturalist. These were located by our able guide, the brother of Chandra, and photographed in natural light without a strobe.
