White-bellied Treepie (Dendrocitta leucogastra) at KV Eldhose’s “treepie hide.” I’ve been these encountering Western Ghats endemics for 25 or so years in place like Periyar, KMTR and Silent Valley but in Thattekad I was treated to prolonged experiences. Their gregarious social interactions and animated vocals were a delightful focal point during the hours in the hide.
