Harpactes_fasciatus_on_branch_at_Thatekkad_9c(MR)(12_19)
A male Malabar Trogon (Harpactes fasciatus) in Thattekad’s primary forest. This individual stayed int he area allowing about a dozen photographers to get decent pictures over a 20 minute period. At one point he flew low and did a display with his wings and feathers (unfortunately my shot does not do justice to the experience).
